John Waters

He has also worked as a lead developer on major projects for Hewlett Packard and Johnson & Johnson. Noel has authored over ten books on diverse subjects ranging over ASP.NET, ASP.NET AJAX, Silverlight, Android development, CMS, Reporting, automated testing, Winforms and ORM. He has also written numerous articles on software development for top industry magazines.

Lance Bullock

Lance C. Bullock – VP of Mobile Solutions

Lance has over 20 years’ experience leading teams, architecting, and developing enterprise-level solutions for some of the world’s largest corporations. Prior to joining the Falafel team, Lance served as a Group Manager at Check Point Software Technologies. As a leader and engineer, he was responsible for scalability, performance, feature development, federation/clustering, and protocol work on the Check Point Endpoint Security Secure Access Server; which managed tens of thousands of desktop security installations. Prior to Check Point, Lance was CTO/Vice President of Technology at Full Moon Interactive and .class Corporation, where he was a recognized industry expert in Delphi, JBuilder, and Windows development; as well as a speaker, author, and trainer. Lance holds a B.S. in Computer Science/Mathematics from California State University Sacramento. In his spare time, Lance can usually be found at some random Bay Area sports venue, watching his sons in their various athletic pursuits.

Mike Dugan

Mike returned to school and completed his MBA in 2009, and now uses his passion to help Falafel satisfy its customers and find new markets.

Adam Anderson

Adam Anderson, Master Consultant

Microsoft Certified Solution DeveloperAdam Anderson is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer with over 14 years of experience. He started as a consultant using Delphi to rapidly deliver custom, high-quality business solutions in a wide variety of industries. His later experiences afforded him the opportunity to become familiar with a number of different products, technologies, and disciplines, including SQL Server and T-SQL, Oracle and PL/SQL, Crystal Reports, SQL Reporting Services, Internet Information Services, .NET Framework, LINQ, Entity Framework, Command batch files, Windows Script Host, PowerShell, normalized relational database design, dynamic databases, and good object-oriented design based on design patterns and re-factoring.

Bary Nusz

Bary Nusz, Software Architect

Microsoft Certified ProfessionalBary’s career has taken him from the oil field services industry, to LCD research, and to the DOE. He’s served as a lead researcher, designer, and programmer on numerous systems that encompassed a wide range of technologies such as ultrasonics, eddy current, and down-hole viscosity measurements — all along the way using the latest software technologies to solve complex control and data imaging challenges. With numerous patents and engineering/scientific achievement awards he finds no challenge too hard to handle. During the spring he spends time chasing down severe storms, and in the summer spends time at the lake with his family. He also enjoys competing as an epee fencer along with his son and daughter. Bary has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University.

Rachel Hagerman

Rachel Hagerman, Senior Software Engineer

Microsoft Certified ProfessionalRachel finds joy in meeting challenges in her career and her life. After deciding to pursue a career in electronics, and as one of only a handful of female students in her department, Rachel graduated at the top of her class with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oklahoma State University. Two years after graduation, she was leading the software design team on a multi-million dollar testing system for the Department of Energy. Rachel has experience in circuitry design and automated test systems, but her true passion has always been for software.

Rachel loves to spend time on a wake-board in the summer or a snowboard in the winter with her husband and friends.

Gary Campbell

Microsoft Certified Professional Gary has nearly 20 years of software industry experience working in a variety of fields including insurance, marketing, medical, telecom, real estate, financial and manufacturing. He has also worked as a team lead on major software projects for Hewlett Packard and Johnson & Johnson. Gary's specialties include C#.NET, Delphi, Localization and Internationalization and database development. He holds a BS in Computer Science/Mathematics from California State University, Sacramento.

When Gary is not in front of his computer he spends his spare time mountain biking, playing softball and coaching his two daughters in soccer and softball.

Jonathan Tower

Jonathan lives in Michigan, where he enjoys biking, backpacking, and photography. Jonathan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Taylor University.

Josh Eastburn

Scott Frolich

Scott Frolich, Software Engineer

Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist Scott started a long time ago at Borland as a support engineer for C++, Delphi and BDE. He became the go-to guy for all database related issues in Borland products. Moving on to a start-up company during the dot com boom, Scott moved to web based technologies such as Javascript, DHTML, and Java. The company was then acquired by IBM where Scott continued his work on web based enterprise software products including WebSphere, DB2, and Flash/Flex. Always looking for a challenge, Scott worked on many new technologies that were used by other technical groups and companies with great success. C#, .NET, MSSQL, Silverlight, Entity Framework and RIA Services has been his focus recently.

During this time Scott started a family including two children with a wonderful wife. In his spare time Scott likes to go jogging with friends, go mountain bike riding and have fun with the kids.

Matt Kurvin

Matt has been involved in the arts his entire life. Attending art schools since he was 5, it was only natural that his career be surrounded by the creative. From layout, illustration, concept design, to photography and animation, he strives to keep on the cutting edge of contemporary design.

Matt's specialties are in Web Design, User Interface Design, and Usability Design, implementing a full spectrum of software and programming languages including Html, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, Silverlight, Adobe, and many others.

Paul Tidwell

Paul Tidwell joins Falafel after accumulating fifteen years of software engineering experience for both start-ups and Fortune 500 companies alike in the financial, healthcare, e-commerce, and manufacturing industries. After earning a degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin, time spent working on major engineering initiatives for Charles Schwab, Dell, and a many others developed his passion for design, performance, scalability, and maintainability in n-tiered software systems. Primarily working with .NET, he also has experience developing high performance applications in C++, as well as Java and dabbling in iOS.

When not behind the keyboard he enjoys the occasional dj gig, urban art, music festivals, cooking and exercising.

Sean Samuel

Sean Samuel, Office Manager

Sean comes in with almost over 20 years experience of accounting and management skills including all aspects of billing, A/R and A/P general ledger postings, and payroll processing. Also, he’s very efficient in optimized bookkeeping principles, debits, credits, taxes and closings. Sean’s specialties include proven problem-solving, analytical and creative thinking skills, ability to function with a do-whatever-it-takes attitude, strong capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Sean has a passion for traveling, hiking, photographing and exploring any mountain state that has alpine lakes and waterfalls, he loves to play tennis, ping pong and beach volleyball.
